Bringing together the Swiss LegalTech community

The legal services industry is currently entering a phase of deep transformation. Increasingly, tasks are being automated and key services commoditised. Clients are empowered and professionals must therefore focus on creating, and sustaining, value-added services.

This evolution has yielded a new ecosystem for the industry, composed of lawyers, entrepreneurs, investors, academics and professionals. The Swiss LegalTech Association (SLTA) is a neutral, non-profit association which offers a framework for those groups to create value together.

We support the legal industry with a better understanding of the legal technology market. We foster the development of Switzerland as a hub for legal technology. We are publicly recognized as the industry representative and have a consultative voice on relevant legislation.

Change of Presidency at Swiss LegalTech Association

Dear Swiss LegalTech Association Members,

Dear friends and colleagues,

We are thrilled to announce the election of Nicolas Torrent and Stefano Perucchi as co-presidents of the Swiss LegalTech Association.

After serving the SLTA for almost a decade as founder and president, Chris Küng has decided to focus on new projects and challenges. He remains, however, committed to the modernizing of the legal industry and has agreed to continue to support us as we steer towards a new landscape.

Nicolas has been SLTA vice-president since 2020 and co-head of the Geneva chapter since 2018. He was admitted to the Geneva Bar in 2014, before transitioning to the LegalTech industry and finally serving as in-house counsel. He has worked on a variety of topics connected to the modernizing of the legal industry and met with many stakeholders from the legal industry. He has been a dedicated vice-president working hand in hand with Chris at our association, contributing notably to the development of the Geneva hub, organizing several events, building partnerships and supporting the SLTA’s social media and marketing growth.

Stefano has been serving as a member of the Executive Board of the SLTA since 2019, the year when he was also nominated as Head of the Ticino chapter. He is an attorney at law, who holds a bilingual law degree (lic. iur.) from the University of Fribourg (Switzerland) and a post-graduated LL.M. degree from the University of Minnesota (USA). He is a Partner at the law firm Kellerhals Carrard, where he practices as legal counsel in the areas of commercial law, sports law and intellectual property.  He is also a tech passionate that has contributed to various projects within LegalTech and digital transformation. His innovative approach and commitment to fostering collaboration within the legal industry perfectly matches the goals of our association.

Our Vision for the Future:

We wish to further connect with industry stakeholders to provide relevant and actionable information and advice, we want to increase the connection with our members and provide them with the content that is relevant to them, and we wish to continue raising awareness and bring new ideas through our major events such as “Legal Innovation”.

We also wish to further develop partnerships with the SBA and local bar associations and other actors and organizations working towards the same or connected goals.

Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to connecting and working together towards a more innovative and technologically advanced legal landscape.

Best regards,

Nicolas Torrent and Stefano Perucchi
