Saibal Mukherjee

Saibal Mukherjee is a lawyer specializing in AI, cybersecurity, and digital health, with a career spanning Indian telecommunications, Novartis as General Counsel India and Oncology Counsel at Basel HQ, and Stryker as Legal & Compliance Director, EMEA. He has worked on more than 25 cross-border M&A transactions. He studied law at Delhi University and holds an LLM in International Law from the University of Cumbria. At Takeda, he represents the company on EFPIA’s Digital Health Working Group, oversees the legal architecture for Global Capability Centers across five countries, and advises on AI regulation and NIS2 cybersecurity compliance. He has reviewed and structured more than 200 digital health applications, including SaMDs, bringing a practitioner’s perspective to how technology law operates at the product and market level. Based in Basel, Saibal is also an active contributor to the broader legal innovation ecosystem through guest lectures on AI governance and cyber regulation.
